Calypso's Cave (closed)

Calypso's Cave is a captivating natural wonder situated on the western side of Ramla Bay in Xagħra, Gozo. It is famously linked to Homer's 'Odyssey', suggesting it was here that the nymph Calypso held Odysseus captive for seven long years. Although previously closed to the public due to safety concerns, it has since reopened, allowing visitors to explore this enchanting site. A memorable detail is its frequent mix-up with the nearby Tal' Mixta Cave, highlighting the local lore that envelops this historical treasure.
